Vice President of Production / Hurricane Chaser
“Classic Car Collector & Restorer”
A former hurricane-chasing photojournalist, Peter oversees the production staff for all of Award Productions’ broadcast and corporate clients.
Without question, he’s our most seasoned and battle-tested shooter. Over the past 15 years with us, he has flown with aviation pioneers for our Emmy-nominated “Beyond Kitty Hawk,” shared tight living quarters with third-tier presidential candidates, and rode shotgun with stuntdrivers — saddled with packs of heavy camera gear.
Peter first honed his craft while shooting breaking news and features for WPDE-TV (ABC) in Myrtle Beach and WYFF-TV (NBC) in Greenville, South Carolina. He still lives by the mantra “Seek and Destroy,” the WYFF mission statement that encourages a lively competitive spirit.
Peter loves to mine the world of pop culture to produce offbeat viral videos. “Totally Devoted,” one of his short films about obsessive music fans, has attracted more than a half million viewers.
Peter’s fascination with antique cars and automotive history inspired our award-winning documentary, “Hell Drivers: America’s Original Crash Test Dummies,” which was optioned as a reality TV series pilot for Country Music Television (CMT). He is currently restoring a 1957 Nash Rambler, the car of choice for legendary stuntman Lucky Lee Lott.
The TV industry has been kind to Peter and to give back to the community, he has multiple DVRs recording all his favorite shows (which are later archived in secret temperature-controlled vaults). His guilty pleasures include: NCIS, NCIS Los Angeles, NCIS Billerica, Burn Notice, Real Housewives of New Jersey, Arrow, Supernatural, Survivor, The Amazing Race, and way too many others to mention.
Needless to say, Peter is our walking, talking TV Guide. We live in constant fear that one of the networks is going to steal him for their programming department.
